Accomodations at Highlands Camp and Retreat Center

Highlands has 24 rooms in the main Retreat Center, but because another group has already reserved some, we only have access to 14 rooms in the Retreat Center. . Most of these have 4 single beds, mostly in an arrangement of 2 beds in one end separated by a passage way and the bathroom and then 2 more beds. This provides plenty of comfortable privacy for most people, even if sharing 2, 3 or 4 in a room. There are a limited number of rooms with a double bed and 2 single beds. Some rooms have a comfortable sitting and meeting area and can be opened up with the adjacent rooms to form a larger suite.   The rooms are on 2 levels - but there is an elevator, as well as stairs,  to access the lower rooms.

Bed linens and towels and wash clothes are all provided, but to save money, guests are asked to make their own beds when they arrive.

While we will try to accommodate as many as possible in the main Retreat Center, we are also using 2 of their new, very nice group style cabins. These are all just a short walk from the main retreat center where all of the program and meals are located.  We will be using cabins Black Bear and Antelope.  Each of these cabins has 2 bunk rooms holding up to 10 persons per room.  These consist of 4 bunk beds in each may bunk area plus 1 bunk bed in a separate room - intended as a leader's room for youth groups.  This smaller room is included within the bunk room but is totally walled off with a closable door.   See details on them at https://www.highlandscamp.org/cabins

Because there are some people who have legitimate needs to have first call on the limited rooms in the Retreat Center, we hope everyone will seriously consider requesting to stay in one of the cabins - and it is also much cheaper there.  We understand that married couples may prefer a retreat center room and that anyone with physical limitations will want to stay in the retreat center.
