Rev. Dr. Davidson Chifungo
Rev. Chifungo is
the National Director for Veritas College and
Coordinator for Y-Malawi. He is a former General
Secretary of CCAP Nkhoma Synod. He has earned Masters and Doctoral degrees in Practical
Theology from Stellenbosch University, South
Africa.

Rev. Mwawi Chilongozi
Rev. Chilongozi
serves as the Secretary-General of CCAP’s
General Assembly and Parish Minister of Thanthwe
CCAP. She earned a
Masters’ in Practical Theology from Stellenbosch
Univ., South Africa.

Rev. Dr. Billy Gama
Rev. Gama serves as the General Secretary
of CCAP Blantyre Synod. He has earned degrees in Theology from Zomba College and the
University of Malawi. His masters and doctoral degrees are from
the University of Fort Hare in South Africa. He
previously served as the Advisor to the President of Malawi on Religious Affairs.

Rev. Vasco Kachipapa
Rev. Kachipapa serves as the General
Secretary of CCAP Nkhoma
Synod. He previously served as Nkhoma
Synod Moderator.

Rev. Biswick Nkhoma
Rev. Nkhoma
serves as Moderator of CCAP’s General Assembly
as well as Moderator of CCAP Nkhoma Synod.
He earned Bachelor of Divinity degree, Post
Graduate Diploma in theology, and Bible
Translation Certificate (obtained in 2013 at
Hebrew University of Jerusalem).

Rev. William Tembo
Rev. Tembo serves
as the General Secretary of CCAP Livingstonia Synod. He earned his Bachelors’ of Divinity at Zomba Theological
College and Masters of Ministry from Minnesota
School of Theology. Rev. Tembo has served as
Pastor in several congregations In Livingstonia Synod including St. Andrews CCAP in Mzuzu.

Rev. Cheryl Barnes
Rev. Barnes is a
mission co-worker serving as education
facilitator in the CCAP General Assembly office in Lilongwe. She has an MDiv Degree from Columbia Theological Seminary and previously taught special education and worked in early childhood education.

Rev. Paula Cooper
As regional liaison for East Central Africa, Rev. Cooper
facilitates PC(USA) relationships with partner
churches and institutions in Kenya, Malawi,
Rwanda and Zambia. She earned her M.Div and
Master’s
in Sacred Theology from Pittsburgh Theological
Seminary.
In addition to mission work, Rev. Cooper
has served as a hospice chaplain and designated
pastor.

Rev. Jeremy Garbat-Welch
Rev. Garbat-Welch
serves as facilitator for the CCAP chaplain
training program. He earned M.Div. and M.A.
degrees at Asbury Theological Seminary. He has
served as a hospital chaplain and done
volunteer mission work in Cameroon.

Luta Garbat-Welch
Ms. Garbat-Welch
works to support the implementation of Community Health
Evangelism (CHE) programs within the CCAP.
She grew up in Africa as the daughter of
mission co-workers. She
has a Masters in Public Health
and has worked in several private and
government health care positions in the
US.

Rev. Janet Guyer
Rev. Guyer addresses poverty and gender equity issues as
Program Associate
with CCAP’s Livingstonia Synod Women’s
Guild in northern Malawi. She has an MDiv.
from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary as well as
MA in Social Work. She grew up and served
in Thailand before moving to Africa in 2002 to
work on HIV/AIDS prevention.

Rev. Tyler Holm
Rev. Holm
serves as a lecturer of systematic theology and church history in
the Faculty of Theology at the University of
Livingstonia.
He has served in Malawi since 2012. Rev.
Holm earned an M.A. in
Theology at Whitworth Univ. and an MDiv.
at Fuller Seminary.

Bill McConnell
Mr. McConnell has
served as a Mission Engagement Advisor for
PC(USA) in Louisville, KY since 2016. He has
been executive director of the
Presbyterian Association of Musicians since
2012. Previously, he chaired the music
department at St. Andrews Presbyterian
University for eight years.

Dr. Doug Tilton
Dr.
Tilton
currently serves
as regional
liaison for
Southern Africa,
helping
to strengthen
the mutual
ministries of
the PC(USA) and
its partner
churches and
institutions in
five countries:
Lesotho,
Madagascar,
Mozambique,
South Africa and
Zimbabwe. He is also interim
co-director of PC(USA) World Mission’s Africa
Office. He has
served as a mission co-worker in South
Africa since 1992. Dr. Tilton has M.Phil. and
D.Phil. degrees in Politics from Oxford
University. |

Rev. Brian Kamwendo
Rev. Kamwendo
serves as Special Advisor for Religious Affairs
to the President of Malawi. He was
previously Deputy General Secretary
of CCAP Nkhoma Synod.

Dr. Kisu Simwaka
Dr. Simwaka serves as the Director,
Economic Policy and Research at the Reserve Bank
of Malawi. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. He has previously
served as a Visiting Scholar at the IMF and
Oxford University.

Rev. Karen Berns
Rev. Berns
served as a career Associate Pastor in three
PCUSA churches over 30 years, one in Pittsburgh
and two in Southern California, focusing on
spiritual formation, mission and outreach,
evangelism and social justice. She has
co-led transformational mission trips to Malawi,
Kenya and Ethiopia.

Rev. Rob Erickson
Rev. Erickson is
Pastor at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Va. He holds the MDiv. And DMin. degrees from Princeton Seminary. He has traveled extensively in mission, including to Malawi where Heritage has a congregational partnership.

Rev. Judy Henderson
Rev. Henderson is a retired Presbyterian
minister and graduate of Austin Theological Seminary. She has taught at the University of Livingstonia and helped create partnerships between this school,
Miami University and Austin Theological
Seminary.

Hussein Latif
Mr. Latif is a
Lecturer in Theology at Nkhoma University and
Partnership Coordinator for First Presbyterian
Church of
Plymouth, MI and Mtenthera CCAP. He has earned
Bachelors
and Masters degrees in Christian education and
leadership at African Bible College in Malawi.

Rev. Kathy Lee-Cornell
Rev. Lee-Cornell
serves as Associate Pastor-Mission & Outreach at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. She earned an MDiv at Austin Theological Seminary and a Masters in Social Work from University of Texas. At PHPC, she is engaged in their partnerships in Malawi, as well as all mission outreach in Dallas and
beyond.

Rev. Dr. Marilyn Manning
Rev. Manning is a retired Presbyterian
minister who served churches throughout the US. She earned her MDiv from Union Seminary and her
doctorate from Fuller Seminary.
She has led many trips to Malawi and
actively serves on the Board of Ministry of
Hope.
