NOTES:
The events shown in bold print are Malawi Mission Network (MMN) events. We will be a part of the larger conference events for those events listed in regular print. This conference will be a great opportunity to worship with and hear from missionaries serviing all around the world as well as to engage with important challenges and opportunities in Malawi which face us as a mission network. We'll be joined by many World Mission Office leaders and mission agencies who will update us on current work in Malawi. Several other Malawi Mission Network highlights include:
- Keynote address from Rev. Alex Maulana, General Secretary of Blantyre Synod of CCAP.
- A talk from Rev. Bill Paul and Rev. Silas Ncozana, two of the founders of the Pittsburgh Presbytery/Blantyre Synod partnership which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
- An open discussion seeking to chart the course of the future directions of our mission network facilitated by Ellen Sherby, Coordinator, Equipping for Mission Involvement, Presbyterian World Mission.
- An open discussion to share experiences in our response to this year's food crisis in Malawi and to plan our response as a network for the coming year's anticipated food shortage.
We will be staying together in a block of comfortable dorm rooms, we will be eating together as a group and we have scheduled informal social time every evening so there will be plenty of opportunities to visit with one another each day.
